Listening to the rhetoric surrounding the WNBA and the two ex-NBA players declaring for the draft I just have to laugh. Yes, those players are just jerking the chain of those folks supporting all this trans stuff. The WNBA does need to clarify the rule and define just what a woman is.
The WNBA and its’ board of directors just held a big meeting, and no answer was forthcoming from that. The only thing was a condemnation of those players putting them on the hotseat.
Well, I guess they can’t define a woman because, none of them are biologists! That’s what supreme court justice Ketaji Brown Jackson declared during her confirmation hearings. Yes, under Joe Bidens’ administration she was still given the job. A supreme court justice that can’t define what a woman is!
It seems to me that many are confusing biology with neurology. The biology is clear about male and females. Females have two “x” and males have one. Any deviation from that isn’t a new gender, it is an aberration, a deformation, or some mutation. Neurologically it’s, “man, I feel like a woman.” The biology says otherwise.
It just seems quite obvious to me. The way to settle this whole issue is to accept the biology. We can define what is male and female, the accepted science being XX is female, XY is male. Any other combination is a special situation. So, the answer is easy enough. When the neurology doesn’t match the biology, it’s a special situation.
We already have the special Olympics for those with a physical/mental disability. We just need to create a “special” league for those with mixed chromosomes or neurological issues. A league for all the “special” people. In that way creating a level playing field.
We don’t allow healthy, normal athletes to compete in the special Olympics for the obvious reason. It just wouldn’t be fair at all. We openly state they are “special.” Well, so are those with mixed up chromosomes or neurological issues, the “special” people.
I suggest that as a solution. A league where anyone can participate regardless of their physical or mental abilities/capabilities. It should be clearly stated in the rules, anyone can play.
In that way there are no surprises, no complaining about advantages or anything like that. As long as everyone is fully aware of that, it should be fine. All that would need to be defined is what is a human being.
Hopefully even the esteemed supreme court justice Ketanji Brown Jackson could define that, even though she isn’t a biologist. We don’t need to define exactly when a person becomes a human being instead of a clump of cells.
Massachusetts just removed gestational limits on abortion, meaning you aren’t a human until you are born. Unless the ruling means you can terminate a human life as long as that life is inside the womb. Wonder what Ketaji has to say about that? Well, she’s not a biologist.
There are always “special” situations and circumstances, exceptions to the rule. They are special because they are different, not the normal thing. Obvious, isn’t it? It should be. So we just make a “special” league for those that are the “special” ones. Problem solved. The “special” folks get the “affirmation” they so desperately desire.
