I thought to write about something silly this morning. Taking a break from solving the problems of the world and informing the uninformed on social constructs. A random thought.

I was watching television when this commercial comes on. I don’t remember exactly what they were advertising, but it contained a picture of a cheeseburger. May have been for a restaurant or a health notice. I don’t know.

What caught my attention was the placement of the lettuce, tomatoes and onion on that cheeseburger. They were on the bottom bun. The burger was on top of those and the cheese on top of the burger. Who puts the lettuce and tomatoes underneath the burger?

Now I’ve grown accustomed to seeing strange things like men dressed as women, people with nose rings, purple hair, covered with tattoos and shaved heads. That barely warrants me turning my head. But misplaced toppings? They are called toppings because they belong on top!

If their intention was to attract my attention they succeeded in that. Well, a partial success anyway. I noticed the misplaced toppings alright, but not what was actually being advertised. I wouldn’t purchase a burger constructed like that, must be freaks working there!

I have read where the food we see in commercials isn’t the real food but made of different materials that can be under the bright lights of the camera for hours at a time. It isn’t edible at all. This burger wasn’t made right! They got the buns right, but the burger and toppings were reversed.

Did they use a phone camera? Many pictures I see today are mirror images and get things backwards. What sort of camera trick reversed those toppings? It is a trick, right? I’m going with that theory; no one would intentionally put toppings on the bottom. It’s a unsettling thought that they would! Next thing you know they’re putting mustard on that cheeseburger.
