I’m hearing much talk about the Democratic Socialists. Bernie Sanders was the first that I knew about. I’m not a particularity political person although I certainly get accused of that. I’m a registered Republican, have always been registered as a Republican and most likely will remain a Republican the rest of my life. That doesn’t indicate just who I will cast my ballot in favor of.

Democratic Socialists, just what are they? What is their platform? They focus on social ownership, economic justice, and radical democratic reforms. What does that mean? Social ownership is just a way of saying you don’t own it! Economic justice means, you have to spread the wealth, in short, give your money away to those unwilling to earn their own, and radical democratic reforms means, replacing the democracy with socialism.

Those folks simply want to be socialists. They prefixed it with the word democracy in an attempt to make that more palatable. These are the same people that always say we live in a democracy, refusing to accept the reality, we live in a constitutional republic. Yeah, they are different systems altogether. In a republic there is personal accountability, a big problem for those democratic socialists. They are about dependency, nor independence.

Have you noticed how many young adults are still living at home in the “basement.” Why is that? Well, the democratic socialists would have you believe it is the fault of government. The truth is, it is a result of dependency. Those young people have been told, since kindergarten, that they can’t make it on their own. The world is full of discrimination, prejudice, inequity and injustice. You deserve everything! You should be able to do the minimum and get the maximum reward!

That’s what the Democratic Socialists would have you believe. That’s socialism. Everyone gets the same regardless of effort. Well, except for the leaders of course, they get a bit more than you because, guess what, they control the distribution of everything. They decide what, and how much you can have. The democratic socialists want you to believe that will be accomplished democratically. Nothing could be farther from the reality.

Democratic socialists. Are you buying into that? There is absolutely nothing democratic about socialism. You would have to be a moron not to understand that. It’s no different from those mailings you get, you’re preapproved, if you’re approved!

Of course, I’ll be democratic in my decisions.
