I had AI analyze my blogs. A portion of that analysis concerned the style of my writing. I was informed my paragraphs are too long and I should insert breaks. That’s how people read online. Reminds me of Joe Friday saying, just the facts ma’am. You have to be old to know that. No frills.

That falls in line with my thoughts regarding acronyms. It’s a topic I have mentioned several times. We really have become so lazy we don’t even want to speak the entire word or phrase, just use the acronym. You are expected to know what that acronym stands for based on the context of the conversation. My thinking is, it will be very confusing to those in the future.

Although not a conscious thing, I ramble on to provide context for whatever it is I’m writing about. Attempting to present my POV. You do know what that means instantly, don’t you. We have become accustomed to that since we started using social media. Just typing in the acronyms. It’s called text speak by some, almost a new language. Remember when they used to publish lists for us “old” people that aren’t hip to the latest slang. Artificial Intelligence is telling me that’s how I should write, as short as possible, because people don’t have the attention span for lengthy discussion anymore. Tolstoy never got that memo!

I do wonder if we aren’t removing the humanity for our communications. We are responding more like Spock from the Star Trek television show. Just cold logic, bullet statements of fact. It has become listening to respond replacing listening to learn. Everyone has something to teach you, if you listen long enough.

I’m looking at my blogging in a new way. I’m thinking that perhaps one day they will be like having a conversation with the past, if someone is willing to take the time to read them. The reading may be boring, uninspired, confusing at times, but it’s honest. AI informed me that I hold strong opinions. Couldn’t help but think; has to be better than having weak opinions.
