I had composed a blog earlier today and then the power flickered and poof that blog was lost. That’s the problem with this computer stuff it can disappear faster than you can blink. Strange because we are also told everything on the internet is there forever. Well, I guess it has to get there first. My blog didn’t, I was just a few keystrokes away. I’ve decided to not to try to write that thought again. Perhaps it was a sign from above that it was a bit too much. I’ve been known to get carried away.

Today the big topic is the blizzard of 2026. Lots of snow and wind. The last gasp of winter is my hope. I’m over it. It won’t be around long however, the temps should rise into the 50’s by Wednesday. The big melt and some flooding will most likely be the result of that. The farmers will like it, increase that ground water you know. A big big limb broke off the tree out back of my place and narrowly missed crushing my car. That is about the extent of my problem with this storm. My power has remained on 99% of the time, I have bread, milk and toilet paper. It’s all good as the kids say.

I wrote this after passing an older gentleman. You see I live across the street from the funeral home.

Destination

He shuffled in his step, as he passed me by, and I paused to ask him,

where is it that you go ?

I go to say goodbye again, something I often do, the years are passing by,

and I have so few.

Times moves ever forward, leaving my friends behind,

So I rush to see them, while I have the time.

Please excuse me, I must keep moving on.

And with shuffling feet and a knowing eye he continued along his way.

I stood in quiet contemplation of just where it is we go,

I understood in a moment, we go to say Hello.
