I got a domain on this site called WordPress. I'm attempting to compose a post to see if I can do that. I have been using Blogger for almost 15 years and so this is different. Learning how to navigate all this technology is surely a challenge. I expect the kids wouldn't have nearly the issues I do as they are familiar with all the terminology. It did take a little while for me to understand what a domain actually is. I think I've got it now. Now to understand how to build a site. It's definitely a learning process and fraught with dangers. One click and everything can be gone! I did get a warning about that and so I appreciated that. 
  I do get those little blocks with symbols in them that contain the commands. Understanding exactly what they do though is another issue. That is the stuff I'm certain the younger folks are comfortable with. It's a whole new world for me. It's like talking to  mechanic or a carpenter when you don't know anything about either topic. You have to know the parts to understand what it is they are telling you. I find You tube videos somewhat helpful and the videos that are linked to this wordpress site as also helpful. The only problem being those talking have such n extensive knowledge I often get lost. Just answer the question as simply as possible please. 
  Please bear with me as I learn about this new world. I'm attempting to make it more visually appealing. I read where people like pictures and videos much more than reading. I'm thinking a part of the issue I'm having is that I'm not trying to sell anything. I see lots of options for doing that. inserting links or whatever. And of course the site itself wants to sell me more options. I could get them to build my website for me, only 500 dollars. I'll keep trying on my own.
